I found this posdcast in a list of 40 Science podcasts. It is quick and to the point it is 60 Second Science. I would not say it is specifically for Els but it is interesting and quick. When you click on the report it does hae a transcript of the report so you can follow along. It is quite like an NPR report, I like it! I think I mostly like the fact that it is short where some of the otherones I have found are very long.
THis is the website where you can choose the report you would like-

This is the one where they talk about seeds growing better because birds eat them and then deposite tham elsewhere! The kids will love it! I can think of many places you could use this in the elementary plant curriculum.

Stephanie,
ReplyDeleteI also enjoyed the efficient length of these podcasts. I think their choices of novel topics also contributed to the engagement factor. I could see one of these podcasts being used as an exemplar for a student-made podcast to follow the same sixty-second format.
