EESL 650

 Podcast!
I found Sci Girls on PBS that promotes girls in Science.  They use the STEM format and enquiry based problem solving to understand Issues that include glacers, underwater robotic building to check up on an expierement, cave swallow tracking and creating makeup and trying it out on prospective customers.  They also have accompaning podcast in Spanish.  I have watched three of the videos and if it would fit into your curriculum they would be wonderful.

  2. What a great resource- I never knew about this website! I think that anytime you target motivation and engagement of students- whether it be the whole class or a specific population, such as girls, boys, or ELLs- you are really working to enhance content and language acquisition. At the same time, the engagement factor tends to decrease behavior problems!
